Tesla’s fourth and newest model, the model Y is now Tesla’s best selling car and one of the top selling models of any car globally. Much like the Model X and Model S, the Model Y and Model 3 share many features and components, including drivetrain, battery and interior components. There has not yet been a significant update to the Model Y since its introduction other than an update to match the updated console from the Model 3. This was introduced in 2021 and features the same wireless charging pads and preferred materials over the previous center console.

A refresh similar to the highland update for Model 3 is anticipated but has not been announced.
